“Or do you presume on the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that God's kindness is meant to lead you to repentance?”
God’s patience is not permission to continue in sin; it is kindness calling us home. Before pointing to what is wrong with the world, we must let His Word examine our own hearts. Repentance is not earning His mercy, it is turning from our excuses toward the mercy we need.
