Passover:Ready For Freedom?

"Ready for Freedom"
-Your freedom is near because Jesus is the BREAD OF LIFE
-Your freedom is near because Jesus is the LAMB that was sacrificed
-Your freedom is near if you eat the Passover meal in SINCERITY

1) Read Galatians 5:1. If you find yourself returning to familiar sin(s), what is hindering you from fully believing and living in the Truth of this verse?

Jesus as the Bread of Life...
2) Read 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Peter 2:22; Hebrews 4:15. What is the key point in each of these passages regarding Jesus? Are you still living as though you can atone for your own sins?

3) Read Matthew 26:26. Why were Jesus' words so hard for the Jews to swallow/ embrace?

Jesus as the Lamb...
4) Read Hebrews 10:10. What is different about Jesus being sacrificed than all previous sacrifices offered?

Partake of Passover with sincerity...
5) Read 1 Corinthians 5:7-8. Has this practice (communion or Passover) become familiar and boring to you? What can you give intentionality to so that you will become a "new lump"... truly believing in the redemption that Passover signifies?

Joel's Challenge: Commit to God to be sincere for 3 weeks. Recognize the "yeast" in your life. Give up/ surrender the sinful behaviors or patterns that hold you in bondage.
(Examples: frivolous spending, porn, smoking, healthy living, social media, start journaling, set an alarm and get up on time... whatever the Lord calls to your attention.)
