Dressed for Church and Desperate for Change

Do you wear your Sunday best when you go to church? It is a part of culture in many circles to look your best when you go to worship the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and that is a very noble sentiment. However, often times we confuse the external regalia for an internal regeneration. Labels, reputation and peoples respect cannot sway the all piercing gaze of God. You are dressed for Church, but are you desperate for change? Change that only God can bring, a renewing spirit that only comes through repentance and a freedom that only God's favor can grant? You are dressed, now it is time to get desperate. Romans 2:11-29 is where we will be.
